Rumours

From: http://www.giga-usa.com/quotes/topics/rumor_t001.htm

"Some report elsewhere whatever is told them; the measure of fiction always increases, and each fresh narrator adds something to what he has heard."
"Enemies carry a report in form different from the original."

"Rumour was the messenger... Of defamation, and so swift, that none... Could be the first to tell an evil tale."

"In every ear it spread, on every tongue it grew."

"Rumor doth double, like the voice and echo,... The numbers of the feared."

"Rumor is a pipe... Blown by surmises, jealousies, conjectures, ... And of so easy and so plain a stop ... That the blunt monster with
uncounted heads, ... The still-discordant wavering multitude, ... Can play upon it."

"Rumor is like bees; the more you fight them the more you don't get rid of them."

Crooked Media

Azer and Mantessa are idiots so ignore them :-)

Azer: What do you think of the media these days?
Mantessa: Which media?

Azer: Okay, the one that is said reflecting the dominant class ideology both in their reportage and commentary.
Mantessa: Oh, the one that leave the impression that they are free and independent, capable of balanced coverage and objective commentary.

Azer: Yes, that one.
Mantessa: Hehehehehehe Not just these days laaa ... since history, they have been very contradictory. When they leave the industry and decided to be the online-journalists (Ooppss, they do call themselves as bloggers), they are even more contradictory ... hehehehehe.

Azer: Contradictory?
Mantessa: Including selective too.

Azer: Selective?
Mantessa: You think they are not bias? Shit! Media bias has been moving rather consistently into the bias direction.

Azer: Being sensational and invasive?
Mantessa: Sensational and invasive? Shit! They are often muted and evasive! The online-journalists (Ooppss, they do call themselves as bloggers) did admit during their time, they don't tell lies but they don't tell the whole truth either. You think the public get the whole picture? The real picture?

Azer: ???????
Mantessa: Like recently ... you know the BERSIH rally and the Hindraf Rally, they seems ignoring the issue ... I mean the real issue.

Azer: Why ignoring the issue?
Mantessa: The media sort of knowing the public perception even ahead of the public.

Azer: What kind of public perception?
Mantessa: You know, the public is being labeled.

Azer: Being labeled?
Mantessa: Ya, like positive and negative kinda labeling. The positives are like "aura", “legacy”, “popular”, “good looking” and “friendly”. The negatives are like "Corruption", "Discrimination", "Nepotism", and "Cronism". Yet these are the people who call themselves liberals.

Azer: Oh ...
Mantessa: Worse ... the labels are never really precise. Basically, many labels are made by higher protocols.

Azer: Oh, can't we object on the labels?
Mantessa: What to object? They have always responded that their personal views cannot be reported. That's how these public perception and labeling come into play.

Azer: They do however give us the knowledge-base for their process analysis, descriptive, discussion and so on and so on.
Mantessa: Like what? The movie critics? Oh gimme a break. In the end, they just want to have a good rapport with the public. That's why they only give us the smaller picture. They have to tolerate with their bosses. That's why they are very contradictory once they left and become online-journalists (Ooppss ... they do call themselves as bloggers).

Azer: They are more contradictory?
Mantessa: Yeah ... like starting to write their own opinions and stuffs. Like giving out details. Like trying to be the public hero and all.

Azer: So the media people are better media people when they leave the industry and taking charge of their own writing?
Mantessa: They are? Okay they might give us their own views but still you know, I don't think they are practicing good journalism as online-journalists (Ooppss ... they do call themselves as bloggers).

Azer: Still not?
Mantessa: Go to their blogs. Do they really get the sources from both sides? Okay ... okay ... okay ... okay ... okay ...In a way, they do get the sources from both sides, one side is their own and the other side is from the mainstream ... hehehehe like you can see on their blogs some pieces copied from the newspaper companies webbies which they call it the other side and what they write is the another side ... hehehehe. I won't define that as taking sources from both sides ... hehehehe ... that's not good journalism ... hehehehe.

Azer: Oh ... ya ... now I realize. But that they give another side which is their own from their own sources gives us bigger picture? Is not that better journalism?
Mantessa: In a way yes and that's why I said they are even contradictory ... hehehehe. Since they are from where they are from, still we have to be a bit careful.

Azer: Be careful?
Mantessa: You see, the industry sometimes works better on framing rather than on falsehood.

Azer: Framing?
Mantessa: Like you know ... bending the truth a bit. There are many strategies for it you know.

Azer: Like what?
Mantessa: Like giving an impression ... you know, the way news are presented can always give us the impression. This is the art of giving impression.

Azer: Like what?
Mantessa: Like amount of exposure, big or small photos, front page or middle page, tone of presentation, what are the headlines ... for the electronic media ... even artful like sound, visual and special effects and so on.

Azer: Oh!
Mantessa: That is not it. The worst part is when the public is left to interpret things.

Azer: Like what?
Mantessa: Like you know, less explanation on stuffs. The art is to make the public do own critical thinking ... hehehehe.

Azer: Is not that good?
Mantessa: Hehehehehe ... hehehehehe ... when the public is left to do own thinking, there come the varieties of news and interpretations. That is the main objective. Different interpretations mean the real truth is not known ... hehehehe.

Azer: Oooo man. Very crafty!
Mantessa: Yep ... very crafty indeed ... hehehehe.

Ten Years Now

Hi,

Just a quick note to thank you for your help in making the Cadenza MIDI Diary ( http://www.diary.cadenza.org/ ) such a success over its first ten years of operation - since 19 November 1997! To celebrate, I stayed up most of the night doing some programming, and we now have two small new features.

The first is a page for each of the music styles you've selected when uploading your pieces, which means that visitors can browse, for example, 'romantic music' or halloween music' :

http://www.diary.cadenza.org/genres/romantic.htm
http://www.diary.cadenza.org/genres/halloween.htm

Pages for more new styles will appear as we need them. The second feature is that the first comment in 'MIDI Messages' now appears on the homepage, hopefully to encourage more comments and feedback. I'll try to add some more features as and when I get time. Thanks again and all best wishes!

Keith

Here We Are

So I know ...

... through reading and what I have gone through ...

... Injustice ... ... Torn wars ... Crooked journalism ... Bankruptcy ... Inflation ... Deaths of family members ... Racism ... Corruption ... Corporate greed ... Alcoholism ... Promiscuity ... Gangsterism ... Loneliness ... Domestic violence ... Nepotism ... Pollution ... Unemployment ... Divorces ... Traffic jams ... Missing children ... Lower income ... Politics manipulation ... Breakups ... Retrenchment ... Sickness ...

... so how we wish things were different ...

... life was different ...

... we were different ...

... rich rather poor ... better jobs rather lousy jobs ... married rather being singles ... singles rather being married ... being bosses rather being subordinates ... having own cars ... good looking ... pretty ... not overweight ... younger ... cleverer ... smarter ... healthier ...

... Sometimes we just lost faith in ourselves ...

... on our abilities ... on what we really worth ... on our purposes ...

... BUT ...

... do we really know where we are?

... at this moment ... is actually the perfect place to start ...

... making peace with ourselves ...

... RELAX ...

... we are all OK with what we are ... who we are ... where we are ...

... RIGHT HERE ... RIGHT NOW ...

... So choose to be OK with ourselves ...

... NOW ...

... is always a good place to start ...

... THEN ...

... We need to know THAT ...

... it is so so sooooo OK to be OURSELVES ...

... for today ...

... for this week ...

... for the REST OF OUR LIVES ...

... They say blogs are garbage ... lies ... a good place to flirt and probably get laid later ... by those who have nothing else to do ... by those with little brains ..

... only if they knew how much this would mean ...

... to all those whose lives we may touch ...

... and for the difference we may make ...

... even just by dropping by to say 'hi' ... read ... give advices ... criticize ... oppose ... make jokes ... questioning ... watch ... give compliments ... give good wishes ... sympathize ... listen ... comfort ... pamper ...

... DOES IT MATTER? ...

... IT DOES ...

...AS IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE TO SHARE ...

... some sadness ... some happiness ... some tears ... some joy ... some fears ... some courage ... some ambition ... some knowledge ... even some stupidity ...

... so no matter what they have said ...

... that is just something that they can always do ...

... SO

... no matter what have happened in our lives ...

... no matter what we have done to ourselves, or perhaps someone else ...

... WE are of great value to THIS WORLD ...

... with willingness to share ... EVEN OUR DIFFERENCES ...

... with determination to dare ...

... THIS is who WE are ... WE are OURSELVES ...

... and we should not take it any other way ...

... NOT TODAY ...

... NOT THIS WEEK ...

... NOT FOR THE REST OF OUR LIVES ...

... So they say blogs are garbage? Lies? A good place to flirt and probably get laid later ... By those who have nothing else to do? ... By those with little brains? ...

... OR do they really know who they really are?

A Kadir Jasin

This entry is brought forward by Assholes United. Yes, we do have assholes :-)

When an online-journalist blogs (Ooppss, he does call himself a blogger) ...

Adopted from an online-journalist (Ooppss, he does call himself a blogger) entry: Mr Lee suffers a case of prolonged Gila Talak

AKJ: THIS is addressed to Singaporeans. Malaysians and others are, of course, not prohibited from reading and responding, but the priority is to Singaporeans.
Azer Mantessa: TQ :-)

AKJ: I mean those Singaporeans who are members and supporters of the People’s Action Party. Yes, those of you who gave 66.6 per cent of the votes to the PAP in last year’s general elections. Thank to your votes, the PAP won 45 out of 47 contested seats.
Azer Mantessa: Bravo! Bravo!

AKJ: And those of you who are not members and supporters of the PAP. Yes I mean those of you who gave 33.3 per cent of the votes to the Oppositions. Thanks to your votes, the Oppositions won two out of 47 contested seats.
Azer Mantessa: Alhamdulillah :-)

AKJ: Even those who are neither members nor supporters of the PAP and the Opposition are also invited.
Azer Mantessa: TQ TQ TQ Very nice of you :-)

AKJ: By this I mean the ordinary Singaporeans who loyally serve in the National Service and who believe that Malaysia is the number one threat.
Azer Mantessa: We ourselves our own enemies laa Datuk :-)

AKJ: The ordinary Singaporeans who enjoy crossing the congested Causeway to buy cheap petrol in Johor Baru – cheap by way of exchange rates as well as purchasing power parity (PPP).
Azer Mantessa: I wish it was my hometown Alor Setar :-(

AKJ: And I am not discriminating against those fiendish Singapore drivers who charge down the North-South Highway in their super fast Subaru Impreza WRX STI Type C as if traffic rules and regulations don’t apply to them.
Azer Mantessa: Aren't we all do? You know ... speeding up? *wink*

AKJ: To them, I say thank you for visiting Johor Baru, which according their great Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew was the “murder capital of the world”.
Azer Mantessa: Johor Baru ... The crime rate is not bad at all :-)

AKJ: Thank you for visiting Malacca, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Langkawi. Temenggor Dam and Kuantan. Thank you for patronising the famous Port Klang "pork bone tea" aka bak kut teh restaurants.
Azer Mantessa: Damn! You missed Alor Setar :-(

AKJ: Most of all, I am thanking you for not swallowing hook line and sinker what Mr Lee tells you about big bad Malaysia. Had they listened to him, they would not have come to Malaysia.
Azer Mantessa: Nasty guys are more fun. Right ladies? *wink*

AKJ: Malaysia may not practice the Singapore version of meritocracy. Then again, even in Singapore not everybody enjoys the same degree of equality. Some are more equal than others. But I won’t dwell into that because I know you know your country better.
Azer Mantessa: And you know your country better :-)

AKJ: I know you keep coming to Malaysia because you feel pretty much at home in Malaysia. The bak kut teh sellers are not the “favoured” Bumiputeras. They are the Teochews, Hokkiens and Cantonese. Of course they are Malaysian Teochews, Hokkiens and Cantonese.
Azer Mantessa: I love our malaysian teochews mooncake, love our hokkien nasi ayam and love our cantonese mee cantonese. Hey, I love bihun soup, mee goreng, mee udang, mee kung fu, ... many many other chinese food! Yummyyyyyyyyyyyy. Oh oh oh, in case you want to whack the indians, sorry to say, I love indian food. Oh oh oh, in case you want to whack the westerners, sorry to say, I love western food too. African food too is not bad at all. I wish I were with Peter in South America. Oh yes.... in case you want to whack the malays like your birdie friend pasquale who brands malays as morons, then I must say ... hmmmmm ... you are right, you have 'No Fear' :-)

AKJ: Eating and selling pork are haram for the Muslims. So the Bumiputera, the majority of whom are Muslims, are automatically excluded from that business. So is gaming and alcoholic beverages.
Azer Mantessa: Automatically excluded but ehem ehem, guess who would love the gaming and alcohol? *wink*

AKJ: Pig rearing, gambling and alcoholic beverages are important business activities in Malaysia. Pig farmers are so powerful that they could force the Malacca state authorities to back down.
Azer Mantessa: Malaysia boleh! (Malaysia can!)

AKJ: Malaysian leaders may, from time to time, proclaim Malaysia to be an Islamic state. But that does not stop the government from issuing lucrative gambling franchises to Malaysian Chinese and Indians.
Azer Mantessa: Datuk, in case you are actually not qualified to be a journalist or in case your ayahanda (a father or you know who) never teach you something, let me tell you something. You see, to the chinese, gamblers are those who are very lazy people. As some chinese are Buddhists, avoiding intoxicants is part of the discipline. So screw your stereotype bullshit okay. As far as I am concern, the chinese are the most hardworking people in this country. Thank you very much. Us acehnese are catching up though. Thank you very much again :-)

AKJ: They are so big and successful that they are now setting up shops in Singapore. Soon you no longer have to travel to Genting to gamble. You can just have to walk across to Sentosa Island.
Azer Mantessa: Ehem ehem ... guess who else will be walking across? *wink*

AKJ: When you’re tired of racing your Mercedes S Class and BMW 6-Series on our highways and have had enough of the Klang bah kut teh, you know you can check into one of our many world-class hotels, which incidentally are very rarely owned by the “favoured” Bumiputera.
Azer Mantessa: Like Mint Hotel? I thought it is closed down. You know, your "favoured" Bumiputera is so good in running businesses.

AKJ: So why am I saying this and why am I being extremely nice to you? Because I want you be totally aware that not everything Mr Lee tells you about Malaysia is true.
Azer Mantessa: Yeah right. Only the online-journalists (Ooppss, they do call themselves as bloggers) tell the truth :-)

AKJ: Most off all, I want to assure you that whatever we do – good, bad or indifferent – is not intended to coax Mr Lee to rejoin Malaysia.
Azer Mantessa: Yes! We prefer corruption, nepotism and cronism! We want to be happy!

AKJ: We have no intention of inviting Singapore back nor are we about to consider remarrying Singapore even if Mr Lee is suffering an extended case of “gila talak” – longing to be reunited with one’s former husband or wife.
Azer Mantessa: A 50 year old wife? A 50 year old husband? Or is it the way Mr Lee Kuan Yew want his people to behave?

AKJ: After 42 years of divorce, we have grown fond of living without Mr Lee as our strange bedfellow. Two years of living Mr Lee is quite enough.
Azer Mantessa: Yeah Mr Lee, we prefer to throw garbage anywhere we like. Again, we want to be happy!

AKJ: I am sure very few of you would want Singapore to be part of Malaysia again. Singapore is wealthy. It’s clean and is doing well. Why bother rejoining the poorer Malaysia?
Azer Mantessa: So why do your Elite bother to join the masspeople? Or is it a gimmick?

AKJ: Why should you want to lose the pleasure of going to a foreign country to buy cheap petrol, eat bah kut teh to your hearts’ contend and race your Mitsubishi Evolution X without the fear of losing your driving licences?
Azer Mantessa: Because they don't have to commit suicide once found guilty on corruption.

AKJ: Please do me a favour. Please help Mr Lee overcome the “gila talak” syndrome and tell him to stop meddling in Malaysia's domestic affairs.
Azer Mantessa: Datuk, do yourself a favour. Ask your Elite to buy you Manchester United. It rhymes with your Bloggers United. After that, you people can start to 'fix things up' if you know what I mean *wink*

AKJ: We don't need him to lecture us and he should accept the fact that he "lost" Malaysia way back in 1965.
Azer Mantessa: And Singaporeans found themselves :-)

Anyway, if I am not mistaken, in 100 years time, the geologist have calculated that Singapore will be under the sea as the sea level shall rise another 30 feet. Hope our Datuk is happy :-)

A Kadir Jasin is an ex-editor of Utusan Malaysia. I wonder how he got there in the first place anyway. Oh no no no ... he receives that Datukship ... an honour from my Sultans or my King advised by you know who so that should say a lot like ... errr ermmm ... like ... errr errmmm .... like errr ... errmmm ... nevermind.

Oh by the way, I receive The Schmooze Award and that should say a lot too ... hehehe.

Congratulation Datuk! You have asshole. I can't really say you are an asshole :-)

You Elite :-)

This entry is brought forward by Azer Leadership Unfounded.

Our ten(10) most valuable advices to the Elite:

1] Never admit you have no idea what you're talking about.

2] Never have a good word to say about anyone else but yourself.

3] Join every group that will let you join. After a few weeks have passed, quit and claim they aren't good enough to merit your existence and your Eliteness.

4] Always shift the blame to someone else. "It's not my fault" should become second nature to you.

5] Always have nasty things to say about your so called friends behind their backs.

6] Hate as many people as possible (or pretend to like as many people as possible).

7] Start fights as humanly possible. When you are up against intelligent people and obviously you will be losing, end the fight by saying "This is stupid and childish, even if I did start it". Never ever admit you are losing. Never!

8] When someone is smarter than you and start challenging your lack of knowledge in anything, say "I know the answer, but you're not Elite enough, so I can't tell you".

9] If anyone still dares to question you then threaten them with tough things like anything at all that are toughs. If you can't do it yourself, hire someone or hire the online journalists (Ooopppsss, they do call themselves as bloggers) to write something brilliant for your own interest or whatever else you can think of. Take this precious privilege as an Elite - Hire! Hire! Hire! Hire! Hire!

10] In time of desperation, make as big a fool of yourself like crying out loud in front of everybody. This is so okay. Remember, it takes a big man to cry but then you know damn well that it takes a bigger man to laugh at a crying big man. Display your ignorance and stupidity in a manner that will make itself noticeable to the modem community at large. When basically people are starting to accept your mistakes and ignorance, start pin-pointing someone else.
.

Reminder #1: When in doubt, repeat to yourself the sacred chant: "I am Elite, I can't be wrong, I am Elite, I am always right and know everything". Repeat until your confidence is restored.

Reminder #2: When someone so knowledgeable and brilliant but not yet an Elite is threatening your position, remember, you are an Elite. He cannot be right. In just a matter of time, he will be your 'Yes Man'. After all, everyone in the universe cares about the "Elite Hierarchy!". It is what makes the world go around!

Reminder #3: Always reminding people of your legacies. Always! and Always!

Reminder #4: When things might not work out, say something like 'I have worked very hard and I leave everything to GOD'. Special thanks to V.K Lingam on this one :-)

Meantime, do enjoy your Elite companion's 'Istana'.

Go go Elite! Go go Elite!

The Dimensions

This entry is brought forward by Azer Global Peace Individualism.

I apologize in advance for this entry may cause insanity. I won't entertain any question regarding souls. Please read at your own risk :-)

Source: The Abrahamic Faith - Judaism, Christianity and Islam.

There are too many uncountable dimensions in too many uncountable worlds. The dimensions however, can be grouped into nine(9) dimensions.

The First Dimension: Is only consists of a single dimension of length where we get to move forward. No no no no, not that 'The Way Forward' by Mahathir's bullshit thing. Just move forward. The problem with this dimension is, once we get to move forward, we can't move backward in time. Also if we do not move forward, our time is wasted.

The Second Dimension: Is consists of both length and width. In this dimension, as we move forward, we get to choose. The choice however is according to what has been provided since the beginning of time.

The Third Dimension: Is about the depth of the dimensions above. So it is also about choosing any direction BUT preferred. In other words, we make the choices of where we are moving into. We can choose ourselves a 'Look East Policy' or get ourselves being liberals and look west or look upward by sending astronauts into the outer-space. Anyway, we get to move in any direction preferred. Still this dimension is about moving forward. To those who don't, their time is wasted. As we move forward, we are adding OR subtracting values into ourselves depending on our actions. In this dimension, we get to choose whatever actions there are. We get to vote for a war then trying to criminalize a war. We get to manipulate the judiciary system. We get to consume alcohol. We get to do good deeds etc etc etc. Also known as the worldly dimension because it is full of worldly subjects and objects. Also known as the 'temporary' dimension. This is the dimension of good and evil, true and false etc etc etc. This is where we are now.

The Fourth Dimension: This is where we are heading into. It is often referred to as death. This is the dimension where the souls taken away from the physical bodies. It is only the cross-over point. Every soul is alone. At this point, one's knowledge is according to the values accumulated in above dimensions. Any other knowledge is forgotten.

The Fifth Dimension: Is better known as the 'Judgment Day'. This is where time is allowed to move backward as the main witness upon our values. The judiciary system is Too Superior where no elite can afford to fix it. Everybody is judged only according to their values. Here is where the truth is the truth so no elite or politicians or journalists or hypocrites or liars can mess around. Here, the souls shall rejoin with the physical bodies.

The Sixth Dimension: This is the dimension of gathering. Also known as the dimension of promises. All souls are accumulated here. In this dimension, all souls made a promise - 'We shall do good deeds and we shall abandon bad deeds thus we shall be responsible for the values we shall accumulate'.

The Seventh Dimension: This is the dimension of calmness. This is the dimension where the physical bodies are developed and protected by their mother's womb. Also known as the dimension of the hearts. Here is where the spiritual knowledge of the promises given in the Sixth Dimension is stored. It is also known as the dimension of mercy. Here is also where the souls in the Sixth Dimension are given the last chance to take a very good look at themselves and consider their promises. If they are not willing to keep up with the promises, their souls won't be allowed to join their physical bodies thus are not allowed to enter the Third
Dimension.

The Eighth Dimension: This is the dimension of Eternal Life. This is the dimension of true legacies. This dimension also known as the dimension of multiplication. It is a dimension of at least thousands and thousands worse or better than the third dimension. Getting the Worse or Better is judged by the Fifth Dimension. Also known as the dimension of 'You live as you live, you'll get what you deserve'.

The Ninth Dimension: This is the only dimension that has no beginning and no end unlike the other dimensions. This is the Dimension of Superior Control. This Dimension controls all other dimensions. All other dimensions are subsets of this Dimension. All other dimensions have the vision of this Dimension. It is referred to GOD by many. GOD creates all life, so all life live by GOD. There are many other names for this Dimension. Among is known as the Dimension of Superior Knowledge. Also known as the Dimension of Superior Mercy. All those who are still in the Third Dimension deserve this Superior Mercy even one keep fixing the judiciary system. Also known as the Dimension of Forgiveness. Those in the Third Dimension deserve this Superior Forgiveness.

So What Are With These Dimensions?

Why the first eight dimensions are created anyway?

Except for Jinns and human beings, other creations obey the laws and commands of GOD and performs as it is destined to perform. Also known as the law of nature and are followed consistently by every entity in the universe without fail. For example given any circumstances, matter behaves consistently according to its properties. It expands when heated and contracts when cooled. Similarly, the heavenly bodies rotate and revolve at the speed, direction and the orbit destined for them. We do see this in the First Dimension.

Plants grow and bear their fruits according to the laws of nature. Animals follow their instincts throughout their life. In this way, all these creations are are seen in the Second Dimension. In short, none of these creations, however, have any choice but to follow the Laws. They do not have the freedom to make choices. Their obedience is predestined, not chosen.

Human beings and Jinns however have the freedom to choose. Although in terms of their physical being they are subjected to the laws of nature in the same way as animals or plants or the rest of any objects in the universe are, in terms of their social lifestyles they are left to make their own decisions and their own choices. The purpose of human creation is to have a creature that worships and obeys GOD on its own accord and by its own choice without being forced to obey through the laws of nature and/or instincts like other creatures.

If all humanity were to follow GOD's commands and being in total servitude to GOD, their actions would be moderate, balanced, fair and equitable and the human society would be a loving, peaceful and caring society in harmony with its environment and the nature.

GOD would not want the order and peace of His universal kingdom disturbed by the disobedient people forever. Hence, GOD decided to put human beings first in a temporary world or The Third Dimension so that each human being could be tested for his/her preference for the path of obedience or that of disobedience. A system of birth, growth and death was put in place so that each person had an opportunity to prove whether he or she could responsibly handle the authority afforded by free choice or resorted to disobedience when given freedom.

As mentioned earlier, humans deserve the Superior Mercy and the Superior Forgiveness. All one have to do is to regret, repent and correct the mistakes made and do the best that one could not to repeat the mistakes again.

Anyway, some mistakes are forgiven directly by The Superior Forgiveness by saying 'I am sorry'. Some are good enough by saying 'I am sorry and plead forgiveness not only from GOD but also from those who are totally affected by the mistakes made. And ... and some mistakes require forgiveness from both GOD and those affected by the mistakes AND require the mistakes to be corrected.

This does not mean one has to act as the opposition party by pin-pointing other people on one's own wrong-doings. Remember, when you pin-pointing other people, your own three fingers are pointing back at you. No, no, no. no, this also does not mean you have to hire the online-journalists (Ooopppsss, they do call themselves as bloggers) to speak on your behalf but rather better for you to correct your own mistakes yourself even if you have to rot yourself in jail. Remember, the Eighth Dimension is a dimension of multiplication.

You want a legacy? Do what other politicians have never done before. Admit your mistakes. Undo your mistakes. This Third Dimension is only 'temporary' anyway. May we all deserve the forgiveness. After-all, we did promise.

In case a doctor forgets, advice is like medicine ... either you take it or you don't. Still, it's about the free choices.

:-)

To err is human. To bullshit is politician.

Enough said on this issue then.

I am rather surprised by a Pro-Mahathir webby - Generasi-M though. Instead of previously promoting 'The Man', the site is now promoting the profession. The site is a worthwhile visiting. One can learn about:

Doctor Types ... Become a Doctor ... Medical Doctor ... Education Needed to Become a Doctor ... Online Doctor ... Becoming a Medical Doctor ... Steps to Become a Doctor ... Physicians ... Doctors Average Salary ... and Search Doctor.

Who knows? Maybe someday us Malaysians may have another doctor as a Prime Minister. Why not?

What If ... ?

This entry is brought forward by Azer Leadership Unfounded.

What if ...? Now that is a very good question!

On 19th September, 2007, a video clip was released here revealing the depths of degradation into which our judiciary has sunk. The video is said to be recorded back in year 2002 and guess who was the Prime Minister?

Not surprisingly, the Pro-Mahathir Online-Journalists (Ooopppsss ... they do call themselves as bloggers) are quite quiet regarding the issue.

Ironically, these are the Online Journalists (Ooopppsss ... they do call themselves as bloggers) whom all the while have been promoting Justice, Liberty, bla bla bla.

What if ... and what if a question is raised on them regarding the issue? ... The probable answers would be as follows:

1) Oh come on! The video might not be genuine! You know how technology nowadays can be used to manipulate! Remember Vijandran?!
2) We are still mourning on Nurin :-( ... Al-Fatihah.
3) Don't you have a heart? The man has just recovered from his heart surgery!
4) We don't know. We are not aware of it.
5) You are certainly not a muslim. The man has just recovered from his heart surgery and by right you should wish him well.
6) They were just talking over the phone. Probably it was meant for a joke! You know, friends do joke around right?
7) It was not his fault! He was manipulated! Long live legacy! Long live legacy!
8) So what? It does not mean anything! We have 'No Fear'!
9) He is our hero! He is a legend! Popularity is more important than justice!
10) You won't understand the situation. He is the most misunderstood person!
11) Lingam? Is that the one who is selling curry powder?
12) The video is yet to be determined as genuine.
13) Melayu mudah lupa. (The Malays tend to forget).
14) Perjuangan masih belum selesai. (The struggle has not yet over).
15) According to the rule of law, anybody is not guilty until proven otherwise.
16) Oh, that is politics. You won't understand.
17) Sometimes, for the sake of the country, justice has to be sacrificed.
18) I am so sure he has nothing to do with it.
19) Not relevant!
20) None of your business!
21) Asking this question simply shows you are not a grateful person.
22) Stupid question. We love him so we won't condemn him.

Now ... what if the video is genuine? Who should repent now?

What if ...? Now that is a good question :-)

Where Are The Points?

Please do not absorb whatever is written as I myself suck big time at work :-)

My daughter came home for the weekend. She was doing her assignment so I made her sit down with me learning how executives really use Microsoft PowerPoint for presentations.

The Name is PowerPoint So It Is About Giving Out Points

No doubt PowerPoint makes it easier for a presentation but unfortunately it tempts students to do it completely wrong.

Yes, there needs to be a point. Actual data are not the points. Actual data are not the information. Got it? During a presentation, you really don't want to burden the executives with details. Details are distracting. Details are irrelevant in any kind of presentation.

Action Please

PowerPoint is a presentation not a hand-out. A good PowerPoint presentation then is a good action. No no no no no, this does not mean the presentation has to be like A Fantastic Mr. Loba Loba Bombastic with words coming out of nowhere jumping here and there BUT an action always have it's own foundation. It has it's own initial state. This is where the most important points are laid out. From the initial state, an action start to act and react and flows. The presentation should show why it is presented in the first place anyway.

The Statistics

Believe it or not, statistics is information but real figures are not. It is wise to present a main figure though but not figures in details. Presenting the statistics is a good way to advance an argument or defense. Statistics adds credibility.

Be very careful though when dealing with percentages. Remember, 50% is not twice as good as 25%. In fact, it may be 20 times as good depending on what kind of situation you are talking about. Tricky? Think!

The Charts/Diagrams

Executives love charts and diagrams. Use any relevant charts and diagrams that may help in the presentation. Remember, a picture paints thousands and thousands of words.

Conclusion

A presentation without a conclusion is not a presentation. Executives give presentation because they want something. A presentation has to be concluded and demanding something.

Accuracy

Remember when I said details are not information? I lied! Ha ha ha ha ha. Details are very important in any presentation but should not be included in any presentation. Tricky? Present your details only as hand-outs. Any good executives would ask something like this: Give me the data. So share with them the hand-outs. Hand-outs are usually given at the end of a presentation.

Happy Ramadhan

Ramadhan (Ramadan) is the 9th month of the Islamic calendar. It's when Muslims all over the world spend 30 days fasting and bettering themselves in principles of faith.Muslims are also expected to put more effort into following the teachings of Islam by refraining from sexual intercourse (only during fasting ... phewww), violence, anger, envy, greed, lust, angry and sarcastic retorts, and gossip (too bad for the politicians and the journalists and myself too included).
.
People are meant to try to get along with each other better than they normally might (so stop burning the flag you idiot! ... ooppss ... don't mind my word). All obscene and irreligious sights and sounds are to be avoided. Purity of both thought and action is important.
The fast is an exacting act of deep personal worship in which Muslims seek a raised level of closeness to God. The act of fasting is said to redirect the heart away from worldly activities, its purpose being to cleanse the inner soul and free it from harm.
.
Fasting during Ramadan is not obligatory for several groups for whom it would be excessively problematic. Children before the onset of puberty are not required to fast, though some do. However, if puberty is delayed, fasting becomes obligatory for males and females after a certain age. According to the Quran, if fasting would be dangerous to someone's health, such as a person with an illness or medical condition (this can include the elderly), that person is excused. The reason Muslims fast is to discipline their body and mind.
.
The absence of food and drink and other pleasures provides a perfect opportunity to concentrate on prayer and worship. Not having the luxuries of life to hand makes it easier to reflect on life and be grateful for what we do have. Muslims use this month to start afresh and give their life a new direction.

Schmoochy Time

The 'Power of Schmooze Award'

is The Award for bloggers who “effortlessly weave their way in and out of the blogosphere, leaving friendly trails and smiles, happily making new friends along the way. They don’t limit their visits to only the rich and successful, but spend some time to say hello to new blogs as well. They are the ones who engage others in meaningful conversations, refusing to let it end at a mere hello - all the while fostering a sense of closeness and friendship".

Krystyna has awarded me the above award though I think I am way not as described. Krystyna must have had her own special way in looking into others so on behalf of visitors who come to my blogs and those blogs I visited, I am honoured and accept this award willingly.

I am limited to award five(5) others but how I wish it is unlimited. As far as blogging goes as Guys of SiPM have put it where everybody has the right to fight, poke, criticise, lambast, debate, duel, challenge, castigate, grumble, mumble, complain, groan, moan, whinge and whine. That is part of the Malaysian and also World experience. Peter however is also correct for practicing the rights mentioned without hurting anyone's feeling is something very hard to do. Respect then is still an element everybody should possess.

So without further delay, the awards go to:

Angel Eyes - She represents what this award is all about. She has so many goodness combined. She is among the earliest visitors who still stick around. I do wonder where does the strength come from as I have been nasty and flirty with my words toward her. This award too honours all the blogs she has visited and blogs which have direct link with hers :-)

13may - He is my HERO and my SIFU. I am at 43 but it amazes me on how much I can learn from this young man who specializes in Man-Woman thingy. He puts his views wisely and with a lot of respect yet the facts and truths reveal. He is a very active blogger who does not fail visiting those who drop by his thus makes everybody happy :-) This award too honours all the blogs he has visited and his visitors.

Deepak Gopi - Mr. Gopi is my first visitor outside of other region. Without question, he is friendly and demonstrates what blogging is all about - The whole world can come together :-)

David Santos - Mr. Santos is everywhere on the planet :-) A very concern person regarding humanity.

Peter - Mr.Olson's blog is a must for everybody as the whole Paris is there. Underestimate his artistic photography not as it shows his sharpness on his observation. Underestimate his curiosity not as it is virtue :-)

There! To all bloggers in the blogosphere ... Joy Our Differences :-)

Two Types of Diseases

This entry is brought forward by Azer Global Peace Individualism.

Previously in The Thinking Heart, this blog stands on fact that it is the heart which rules rather the brain as the heart itself is the major source of thinking and knowledge. The heart however fears:

1. Bad Actions
2. The Inconsistency in Intelligence.

The heart also fear its own diseases namely:

1. Doubts
2. Desires

Both diseases lead to a sick heart. The worst scenario is a dead heart (spiritually dead - someone with a dead heart could not differentiate between right and wrong). The next worse scenario is an almost dead heart which is hypocrisy.

Doubts relate to understanding. The worst doubt is not having trust in God. One who having problem trusting God is fearful of his provision from God. This lead the heart to worry. Worries lead to turmoil. Turmoil leads to instability. Instability allows one to be exposed to negative activities and bad actions.

Understanding the nature of the heart helps eliminating doubts in trusting God. The nature of the heart is simple: It beats but at the same time it is still. In other words, the heart prefers to beat or pumping blood at a constant frequency. This is the nature of the heart. The heart then requires a state of calmness. To have a state of calmness is to remember God at all time. Remembering God is to be submissive and rely only to God. That is why, those who do not submit and rely on God are basically in a very chaotic situation.

They do many unhealthy activities like promiscuity, consuming intoxicants, practicing corruption etc which add more state of chaotic. Some of them might not realize that they are in the state of chaotic as God ironically adds more diseases in their hearts. This lead them to keep on doing the bad things they do as these are thought won't do them any harm. Ever wonder why corrupted people keep on being corrupt?

There is a problem though: Their diseases are contagious. Those who practice promiscuity will yield another generation who practices promiscuity. Alcoholics too will breed another generation of alcoholics. Corrupted people will feed a corrupted generation who in the end totally screwed up due to the corrupted materials they consume.

Another problem is that these bad actions will someday hit them most at time they least expected. Also another problem is that bad deeds lead to another bad deeds.

The second type of the disease is the desire. Desires derived from appetite. Humans have appetite in many forms. This is the human nature which is normal. What is NOT normal is when the appetite grows out of proportion from their natural states.

Once the appetite grows out of proportions, it stirs the heart. This lead to a sickening heart.

Desires however can be controlled. Again, remembering God helps.

Remembering (to submit and rely on) God at all time is relevant. We are living in the world full of deceives. That's why we have to pray. The heart demands constant protection and intelligent. It demand to be firm against any doubts. It demands controlled desires. The heart demands to see the straight path so that the whole being (body, mind and soul) in firm order to avoid doing evil deeds. Yes, a straight path not a crooked bridge.

Uniquely Dangerous Legacy

This entry is brought forward by Azer Leadership Unfounded.

Today, Azer is a journalist idiot while Mantessa is an idiot respondent. Therefore, please ignore these two idiots :-)

Question #1: Are politicians ridiculous?
Mantessa: What do you mean ridiculous?
Azer: Okay, in other words, do you think they look like chimpanzees? *rolling the eyes*
Mantessa: The primate?
Azer: Yes, the primate. Do you think they look like the primates?
Mantessa: Aren't we all look like chimpanzees?
Azer: Oh ... errr ... hmmmmm ... are we?
Mantessa: Well, when people protesting a war by dancing like chimpanzees, they do look like chimpanzees.
Azer: Errr, so we do look like chimpanzees?
Mantessa: I thought you asked me about the politicians.
Azer: Oh ya ya ya. So are politicians ridiculous?
Mantessa: In other words, are politicians look like chimpanzees?
Azer: Are they?
Mantessa: Aren't they getting extinct?
Azer: The politicians?
Mantessa: The chimpanzees.
Azer: I guess so.
Mantessa: Don't you think they need to be saved? I watched the Animal Planet channel on Astro proving there is a symbiotic relationship between us humans and chimpanzees. Their extinction could bring to our own. Have you donated to WWF to save the animal kingdom?
Azer: World Wrestling Federation?
Mantessa: World Wide ... I dunno. I can't recall. You know, a politician did say we tend to forget.
Azer: Huh? Err ... Err ... Oh Err ... I don't think I've donated any. Anyway, shall we move to the next question.

Question #2: Has a politician ever been so vocally hypocritical about principles?
Mantessa: I'm sorry but what is hypocritical. I'm not a journalist like you. I don't know the 'operating words'.
Azer: Do you think politicians do hide facts from the public?
Mantessa: Like used to be a teacher who doesn't understand English but having millions of ringgits?
Azer: Err ... yeah, something like that. So do you think a politician ever been so vocally hypocritical about principles?
Mantessa: Having a lot of money?
Azer: Err ... something like that. What do you think?
Mantessa: Do you want education or do you want to make a lot of money?
Azer: Err ... what do you mean?
Mantessa: Statistically, education and making a lot of money do not go hand in hand.
Azer: Is it?
Mantessa: You think most people with Phd. do make a lot of money? Most people with Phd. work with the government or become lecturers. You think they are highly paid?
Azer: Well, obviously they are not highly paid.
Mantessa: Do you know that mostly highly educated people are not really risk-takers especially in running a business? These are bunch of people who would think couple of times before taking any risk and yet can't make any decisions or worse, decided not to take risk.
Azer: Err ...
Mantessa: Intelligence has nothing to do with making a lot of money. Making a lot of money are rewards to those who are smarter and willing to take risks.
Azer: So politicians are smarter and willing to take risks?
Mantessa: What do you think? There is a politician who does not understand English but having millions of ringgits.
Azer: So has a politician ever been so vocally hypocritical about principles?
Mantessa: Huh? I don't think I understand the question. Mind explaining?
Azer: *Scratch Head* Err ... It's okay, I think we should move to the next question.

Question #3: Has a politician abused his power?
Mantessa: Like drug abuse?
Azer: Like being a dictator and assume wider controls of power?
Mantessa: Electrical power?
Azer: No, like being very dominant and put hands all over the government branches even the private sector.
Mantessa: Is that a problem?
Azer: Don't you think the executive, legislative, and judicial branches were supposed to check on each other?
Mantessa: Like putting their noses on someone else's business?
Azer: No, like ... errr ... like ... errr ... like a wife checking on her husband.
Mantessa: Checking her husband on what? Having an affair?
Azer: Yeah, something like that.
Mantessa: I think it's the other way around.
Azer: The other way around?
Mantessa: Yeah, I'm the one who is checking on my wife.
Azer: What about your wife that you should worry about?
Mantessa: You know. Stuffs like too much spending on the unnecessary things.
Azer: Okay, do you think politicians should be checked regarding spending on unnecessary things?
Mantessa: That is like a wife checking on her husband. Besides spending on unnecessary things, I also have to monitor my wife not to put her nose on other people's business like talking about other people with the neighbors.
Azer: So the politicians should check on people not the other way around?
Mantessa: You think talking about other people is nice thing to do?
Azer: Okay let's say you claimed that you've been working very hard but 22 years as a husband you do not really keep up with your promises. Don't you think your wife should question you on something?
Mantessa: Are you questioning my integrity and my accountability as a husband? Who do you think you are?
Azer: No, what I mean is that, don't you think the politicians ought to be checked?
Mantessa: Excuse me! I understand exactly what you mean! You are questioning my integrity and my accountability as a husband! You think you have that 'No Fear' slogan you can question me whatever you like?! Want to find out?! Hey! I used to kick someone's head during my younger days for being too smart and I believe I can do it again! Want to find out?! You have 'No Fear' right?? Dare???!!!
Azer: No no no no. Give me a break will you. I did not mean to put it that way. I'm sorry.
Mantessa: I can sue you!
Azer: Okay okay okay ... I think we had enough for today. Thanks for your time. Thank you.

Kevinek

Dear Kevin,
(The most handsome boy in the whole wide universe)

No, not because your are naughty
No, not because you are bad
So happen the unbehaved cells make you sick
Something unlucky you just have

To mum and dad, please don't worry
To Krystyna, you have to be brave
Things like this just happens
There is always a way

There shall be the grand scheme
To destroy these unbehaved cells
You will be given strong medications
Until the unbehaved cells really yell

These meds will make you feel tired
They will make your mouth feel raw
Your hair may cover the pillow
And leave your head quite bald

Nobody will think you are different
Nobody will think you have changed
Just that everybody will get used to be
For this temporary rearranged

There's more about this cancer
Something else that it can't do
It can't destroy your laughter
Or change you through and through

You will be better than ever
The unbehaved cells shall go away
Your hair will grow back
You will feel great every each day

Ameen

The Accounting Equation

This entry is highly filtered and is meant only for educational purpose.

To understand any subject or knowledge, one must understand the basic foundation of the knowledge. As for accounting, the foundation of this knowledge is the accounting equation itself:

ASSETS = LIABILITIES + EQUITY

This entry however is not about the detail depth of this knowledge - accounting, but is about how the equation can be applied usefully in daily life.

Generally:
ASSETS is categorized as: Fixed Assets, Current Assets and Intangible Assets.
LIABILITIES is categorized as: Long-Term Liabilities and Short-Term Liabilities.
EQUITY is CAPITAL + RETAINED EARNINGS - WITHDRAWALS.

ASSETS = LIABILITIES + EQUITY then:

Fixed Assets + Current Assets + Intangible Assets = Long-Term Liabilities + Short-Term Liabilities + Capital + Retained Earnings - Withdrawals.

.
Balanced Sheet

Without detailing the subject, please take note that The Accounting Equation itself is The Balance Sheet which is an intelligent document showing details on WEALTH.

.
Profit/Loss Statement

Profit and Loss statement however is more on detailing the INCOME.

Earnings then is accumulated into the Retained Earnings in the Balance Sheet:

Retained Earnings = Previous Retained Earnings + Earnings + Return On Intangible Assets

.
Note To Ponder Number 1: Are we wealth or profit oriented?
At the end of this entry, one may decide to be either wealth or profit (or income) oriented. Hopefully, one may see which is a wiser choice to take.

.
Note To Ponder Number 2: The Government tax us on Income
Yes, the government basically tax us on income. The government basically do not tax us on increase of Retained Earnings unlike the Abrahamic way where zakat is an obligation to any inventories. Here lies the greatest loophole in the capitalist system supported by a secular government or Islamic (as claimed by some ... hehehehe).

Question: What do you mean by increase of Retained Earnings??? Is not increased of Retained Earnings is when we add income or profit into it??? Is not Income or Profit is taxable???
Answer: Good question! (Hehehehe, I love this question-answer thing as I do notice readers don't really ask so I might as well ask myself ... hehehehe ... me so smart ass one).

Never mind. Let's go back to The Accounting Equation:

ASSETS = LIABILITIES + EQUITY.

EQUITY = CAPITAL + RETAINED EARNINGS - WITHDRAWALS

RETAINED EARNINGS = Previous Retained Earnings + Earnings (From Profit/Loss Statement) + Return on Intangible Assets (From the right side of The Accounting Equation).

Therefore, Retained Earnings can be be increased by two ways: Either through Income or through Return On Intangible Assets.

Question: What is Intangible Assets? What is Return On Intangible Assets?
Answer: Intangible Assets is like when you have extra money and you invest that extra money in order to make more extra money. Examples are mutual trust, fixed income deposits, shares, futures trading etc. Caution: Investment on Intangible Assets can be risky and there is no guarantee on return of investment. Before one decide to invest, one must know about the investment especially the Risk/Reward thingy.

Example:

Last month, Azer bought some shares in the equity market with value worth RM 10,000.00. This month, his investment has increased to RM 11,000.00. Therefore his return on investment is RM 1,000.00. This return on investment is basically NOT TAXABLE :-)

.
Note To Ponder Number 3: The more expenses we make, the less tax we pay :-)

Question: Bullshit! The amount of taxes I pay does not changed though I have to spend for my daily consumption - toll, petrol, fair, bills etc.
Answer: True. This is true to those who earn their living by fixed basic salary but NOT TRUE to those who run a business. To those who run a business or more, more expenses mean less profits. Less profits mean less tax to pay.

Question: That does not solve any problem. The more you spend, the less profit you'll be making.
Answer: Do you know that you can incorporate your own name as an enterprise providing you do have a product to sell or a service to offer.

Example:

Azer is working with a company as a programmer. In order to earn more income, he sell various software. Azer incorporate a proprietor company for his selling activities. Through the company he incorporated, Azer debits some of his daily expenses (toll, petrol, food, mobile bills etc) into his company' accounts. This way, his taxes on software sales can be reduced by his daily expenditure documented.

Caution: To those in the public sector, please refer to more references as some government departments do not allow the public servants to run a business.

.
Note To Ponder Number 4: Create wealth via properties.

Fixed Assets can be categorized as Land and Buildings, Vehicles, Machineries, Office Equipments, and Furniture and Fittings.

All fixed assets depreciate but exceptional goes to Land and Buildings. Mostly, Land and Building appreciate in time. In accounting however, fixed assets are documented as depreciating including Land and Buildings. According to a simple linear method, a building depreciate 5% of its book value a year. By documenting the depreciation cost, not only buying properties like Land and Buildings helps creating wealth, it also helps reducing tax as depreciation is a cost which reduces profits.
.
.
Understanding The Equation In General

1. This entry is highly filtered as understanding The Accounting Equation can make anyone understand the loopholes created by Capitalism. There are so many other points to ponder but it stops here.

2. This blog believes every Individual should have at least a product to sell or a service to offer. Those who rely on salaries can't do much to adapt inflation and cost-of-living but those who are in business are more adaptable by increasing the sale prices and charges the expenditure into the expenses accounts.

3. Every individual should learn investing as return on investment is NOT taxable. Be very wise though on this.

.
Question To Ponder: Is It Possible To Have Losses In Profit/Loss Statement BUT Still Wealth Is Being Built?
The Answer is YES. It is there in THE ACCOUNTING EQUATION. Think! :-)
.
.

Extra Note To Ponder: Our Inner-Self Is The Most Valuable Intangible Assets Of All.

.

It Takes Two To Screw

This entry is totally fictional. As usual, there is nothing constructive to read :-)

Azer: Do you blog?
Mantessa: Yes I do. Do you?

Azer: I do too. What do you blog about?
Mantessa: I blog about the socio-political thing. You?

Azer: Err ... Nothing in particular. Well, I do blog about social thing, economic thing and political thing sometimes.
Mantessa: Are you a politician? Are you a journalist?

Azer: No, no, no, no, no. Are you?
Mantessa: I was a journalist of the mainstream media but now I'm a blogger. I have connections with politicians too.

Azer: Excuse me but why do you journalists keep consider yourselves as bloggers?
Mantessa: We write blogs.

Azer: I write blogs too. Does not that make me a blogger?
Mantessa: Yes you are a blogger too. Just that us journalists are professional bloggers.

Azer: Excuse me but what justify you as professional bloggers?
Mantessa: Us journalists can be bloggers but other bloggers cannot be journalists.

Azer: Well, I studied actuarial science for 12 years that now I'm an actuarial specialist. Doesn't this make me a professional blogger as I can be a blogger while other bloggers cannot be the actuarial specialists. That should go to other kind of professionalism too - Engineers, Doctors, Lawyers, Accountants, etc including Athletes even Artists. Aren't they professional bloggers too should they blog?
Mantessa: Oh, us journalists have the privileges in journalism as we gather, write, report edit, present and distribute our journals to the public through various media. Us professional bloggers distribute our writings through the internet.

Azer: Writing journals are not only done by journalists. Journals are also done by all walk of life - scientist, lawyers, accountants, mathematicians, doctors etc.
Mantessa: Oh, we are better writers. In journalism, we studied linguistic and others to be better writers. We know the 'operating words'.

Azer: That does not make you better writers and lack of these studies does not make other people lacking skills in writing.
Mantessa: As said, us journalists have the privileges in journalism not enjoyed by members of the general public, including better access to public events, crime scenes and press conferences, and to extended interviews with public officials, celebrities and others in the public eye. Our privileges not just cover locally but internationally. In wars, journalists who are captured or detained during a conflict are expected to be treated as civilians and to be released to their national government. In socio-political matters, we have better connections especially with the politicians. We are better equipped to provide the information to the public.

Azer: Your description sounds more of the mainstream media rather a professional blogger.
Mantessa: Not necessarily as us professional bloggers already have accumulated the experience as journalists. We know how to cover a specific subject or area through our cultivated sources, we know the people in the subject or area, that they can communicate with, either to explain the details of a story, or to provide leads to other subjects of stories yet to be reported. We have developed the investigative skills to do better research and report stories.

Azer: My goodness, that only make you know how to report but does not make you a specialist of a certain areas. Can you write an information system? Can you develop a new product? Can you build a tower? You are not specialists in any area but yet you criticize the work done by other people. The entertainment industry for example, you criticize this singer and that singer, you criticize this song and that song but can you write songs?
Mantessa: You see, us in journalism act as a mediator or translator between the public and those areas in concern. We listened and recorded the information, distilled it, and passed it on to the public for their consumption. As the public is not in a position to deconstruct a growing and complex flurry of information present in modern society, and so an intermediary was needed to filter news for the masses.

Azer: Excuse me, the public is not in a position ...
Mantessa: The public is not smart enough to understand complicated issues like political issues. Furthermore, the public was too consumed with their daily lives to care about complex public policy. Therefore the public needed someone to interpret to make the information plain and simple. The public need us in the journalism industry for this. A professional blogger like me gives other alternatives. We inform the public through the internet. Yes, I can't build an information system and other things but professional bloggers do build informed society. That us professional bloggers give more alternatives, we build better informed society.

Azer: So you act as an information broker or mediator or translator.
Mantessa: Yes.

Azer: Is not that awkward as the public is reading something from you rather from those who really know things?
Mantessa: As said, we listen, record, distill ...

Azer: I know a journalist who analyze the stock market and act as he is an expert of stock trading but everybody knows he lost money in trading stock.
Mantessa: Errr

Azer: The public then is reading something from those who don't really know the subject.
Mantessa: We act as a mediator. We have links. We pass the information. By the way, generally those who really know don't really tell.

Azer: And those who really tell don't really know!
Mantessa: Errrrrrrr

AR Selera Puri

There is no greater moral goal than achieving happiness. One however cannot achieve happiness by wish or whim. It requires respect for the facts of reality, including the facts about human nature and needs. It requires that one live by objective principles, including moral integrity and respect for the rights of others.

An ideal man builds businesses, invent technologies, create art and ideas, depending on their own talents and on trade with other independent people to reach their goals. An ideal man is independent – independent from the government biased policy, bankers and their financial evil tools, politicians and their empty promises, not least the corrupted corporation etc.

An ideal man is capable of understanding the world. He seeks guidance in acquiring knowledge. He does not easily give up on the possibility of understanding anything. He has the ability to think. He values his own self-worth.

The universe is open to human achievement and happiness and that each person has within him the ability to live a rich, fulfilling, independent life.

This blog morally supports the independent masspeople. I am proud to discover a blog on catering: AR Selera Puri. I'll continue to hop on blogs that promote own-business and that take advantage on internet as the marketing and information tools. Any suggestion is welcome. Consideration shall be given for the link in the Business Roll.

Subjected to Subjectivity

Into the second year ...

The fact is no individual knows everything. Everyone's mind is different. No two individuals will experience the external world in exactly the same way.

One thinks the way one does by many factors: biological reasons, genes, experiences, upbringing, more development processes etc. Thus everyone is unique.

All of our senses and perception are imperfect. As our senses themselves are imperfect, our knowledge about the world is deduced as much as it is directly experienced. Our knowledge is based on what we have learned, and what we learn thus still subjected to subjectivity.

The reality we experience is not the total picture. It is only a personal opinion on reality. We forget things. Our brain is an imperfect organic machine.

No one has precisely the same point of view on any event. Thus creating versions of the world and we just haven't got the mental power as living beings to see what is real and what is not. Logic and consensus then are accepted as ways of ascertaining what is real and what isn't. Still however, relying on logic and consensus leads to problems where one person concludes that anothers' experience is false.

This is where the power is ...

Although we experience things differently, we can still communicate ideas to each other.

Tick Tock Tick Tock

I just realized it has been over a year I’ve been blogging. Tick tock tick tock, I’m getting old here.

Does blogging directly affect my personal life?

Yes! In two ways:

1) I started drinking coffee after frequent visits to binx’s blog.

2) Affected by ubisetela’s blog, every month, I never miss watching the full moon.

Why I blog: My Sifu Liza

My First Entry: You Are Beautiful

My 3 Most Favorite Entries:

Life Is Difficult! – The title says itself.

Azer VS Mantessa – The Chicken Crossed The Road – About Life is Pre-Destined.

Azer VS Mantessa – The Illusion Standard of Living – About Debtism and Living without debt.

This blog will still be against Elitism and more on Individualism. This is Anfield.
